-Explain times when it is constructive to make temporary use of defense mechanisms.
-Explain five areas in which the therapist’s conflict between growth and security can be assessed.
-Explain the purpose of considering the need for security versus growth.
-Explain an exercise that increases the therapist’s self-awareness regarding his or her value system.
-Explain what middle-class values are generally related to.
