By the end of the course, the Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist will be able to:
-Explain how can reassurance perpetuate health anxiety.
-Describe the behavior a patient/client might exhibit was experiencing passive avoidance.
-Explain parent-child health anxiety interactions.
-Describe mass psychogenic illness (MPI).
-Discuss dysfunctional beliefs and traumatic stress related to health anxiety.
