By the end of the course, the Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist will be able to:
-Explain how much more prevalent rape or sexual assault occurs to Native American women than American women.
-Name the abused womens' thoughts on shame and fear of disclosure.
-Name a major challenge in Montana, both for victims of domestic violence and families that require services after a homicide.
-Explain what office acts of domestic violence committed against Native Americans by non-Indians on tribal lands should be referred to for prosecution.
-Name five barriers that victims of domestic violence may face.
