By the end of the course, the Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist will be able to:
-Name two aspects of tempo in determining boundaries.
-Discuss one method regarding awareness to nonverbal communication.
-Explain one method on how to assess ethical considerations related to the use of touch.
-Explain some areas that the NASW, AAMFT, NBCC, and APA Codes of Ethics agree upon regarding the setting of clear and ethical boundaries with clients.
-Explain some “rules for engagement” with resistant clients.
